Wassail

An old English drink, reminiscent of hot cider, usedto welcome the harvest season, wassail is full of fresh fruity flavors and deepwarm aromas.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups apple cider
  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 2 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 5 whole cloves
  • 1 tbsp whole allspice
  • 3 lemon slices 1/2 lemon
  • 3 orange slices 1/2 orange
  • 4 apple slices 1/2 apple
  • A lil whiskey optional

Instructions

  • In a 5 quart crock pot on low heat, add all of the ingredients.
  • Allow the punch to warm for 3-4 hours. Serve warm. Ladle into serving glasses.

Notes

Leftover wassail can be stored in a pitcher glass in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
