This is a FANTASTIC recipe! I believe it was the Today Show that led me to your page and I decided to add to the Thanksgiving menu. I followed the recipe to a tee however I did take the suggestion of one of your commenters, and added cognac to the glaze :-). I also added chopped pecans to one half which I actually prefer. But when I say everybody loved it, the aunties, my kids, etc. I legit could not stop eating it. It’s that good! And dangerous LOL! So moist and kinda umami’ish and sweet, spicy. Thanks for the written instructions as well as the pics, very helpful. The recipe was very easy to follow. I look forward to trying more of your recipes.

Everyone loved this cake. Made it on Thanksgiving and it was the best. Definitely making it again real soon.

I made this for thanksgiving 2024 and there was none leftover. Perfectly moist, perfectly spiced, and will be making this a regular in my repertoire!
